Cellulite

Cellulite, also known as gynoid lipodystrophy (GLD), is the herniation of subcutaneous fat within fibrous connective tissue, causing the skin to appear lumpy and dimpled, often on the buttocks, stomach, and thighs. It is much more common in women, affecting 85-98% of postpubescent females of European descent, and can arise due to a combination of factors including diet, sedentary lifestyle, hormonal imbalance, or heredity.
