Polymorphous Light Eruption
Polymorphous Light Eruption (PLE), also known as sun allergy or sun poisoning, is a skin condition caused by sun exposure in sensitive individuals, characterized by itchy, red small bumps or patches that appear on sun-exposed areas such as the face, neck, forearms, and legs, typically within 30 minutes to a few hours after exposure and lasting between one and 14 days. These rashes can evolve into small blisters or plaques and often heal with minimal scarring.
