Problem gambling, also known as ludomania, involves repetitive gambling behavior despite harm and negative consequences, leading to financial problems, job loss, and damage to family relationships. Diagnosable as a mental disorder under DSM-5, it includes symptoms such as an obsession with gambling, lying to conceal gambling activities, and needing to borrow money.
