Renal Colic
Renal colic, also known as ureteric colic, is a severe and sudden pain typically caused by kidney stones obstructing the urinary tract, often at the vesico-ureteric junction (VUJ). This blockage can cause intense visceral pain that radiates from the lower ribs to the groin and abdomen, often accompanied by nausea or vomiting, due to distention of the ureter and reflexive muscle spasms.
