Schizoaffective Disorder
Schizoaffective disorder is a mental condition characterized by a combination of symptoms from both schizophrenia and mood disorders like bipolar disorder or depression, including abnormal thought processes and an unstable mood. To be diagnosed, psychotic symptoms must be present for at least two weeks without any mood symptoms, posing challenges for accurate diagnosis and treatment differentiation from conditions such as psychotic depression or bipolar I disorder.
