Mucuna has been associated with increased mild and transient nausea and dizziness across one clinical study, while another study reported fewer adverse events overall, and a third noted no dyskinesia. Across three clinical studies reporting safety data, two adverse event findings showed an increased risk versus control (nausea and dizziness), no findings showed a significant difference for a specific event, and four general tolerability or unquantified mentions were noted. No serious adverse events were flagged.

Caveats: Evidence is limited to a small number of studies; absence of reports does not establish safety. Most findings are based on short-term or efficacy-focused trials, and rare or long-term adverse events may not be captured.
