The evidence is very uncertain about the effect of calcium on preterm delivery before 37 weeks (RR 0.83, 95% CI 0.65 to 1.05; 6 RCTs, 15,074 women; very low-certainty evidence). Sensitivity analysis excluding small studies indicates little to no difference in preterm delivery before 37 weeks (RR 0.97, 95% CI 0.85 to 1.11; 4 RCTs, 14,429 women; high-certainty evidence).
