Cecilia Martínez Costa is a Professor of Pediatrics. She has held numerous university management positions uninterruptedly throughout her entire university career. Head of the Pediatric Service at the Hospital Clínico Universitario of Valencia, Spain. Academic of the Royal Academy of Medicine of the Valencian Community (Spain) since 2017. She is the main researcher of the Pediatric Nutrition Research Group of INCLIVA (Foundation for Research of the University Clinical Hospital of Valencia, recognized by the ISCIII). She has participated in numerous research projects and published 85 articles in journals indexed with impact factor. She is the author or co-author of more than 60 book chapters and one book as editor. She has supervised numerous doctoral thesis and final degree and master's projects. She has participated in national and international conferences with more than 200 conference presentations, 60 invited presentations (national and international) as well as 80 invited presentations in courses. He was Co-chair of the WHO (World Health Organization) Topic Advisory Group for Nutrition, which was working on the classification and terminology of nutritional disorders for version 11 of the ICD (International Classification of Diseases). Member of the WHO Guideline Developing Group for Preventing obesity in children and adolescents through appropriate infant and child feeding practices, in 2015. En 2017 collaborated in the GUIDELINE Assessing and managing children at primary health-care facilities to prevent overweight and obesity in the context of the double burden of malnutrition UPDATES FOR THE INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT OF CHILDHOOD ILLNESS (IMCI). Full membership of the ESPGHAN (European Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition) and of the nutrition societies and working groups of SEGHNP (Spanish Society of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Pediatric Nutrition) and SENPE (Spanish Society of Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition). Member of the SENPE standardization and protocols group that develops pediatric enteral and parenteral nutrition guidelines. Reviewer of the journals Pediatrics, Pediatric Research, J Human Nutr Diet, Pediatrt Infect Dis J, PlosONe, Journal of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, European Journal Clinical Nutrition, Nutrición Hospitalaria and Anales Españoles de Pediatría, among others.
