Dr Diana Bond is a senior research officer involved in population and translational health research with the Children's Hospital at Westmead Clinical School, preparing and submitting population-based linked data access and ethics applications for both local and national multi-site studies, including data analyses. She has extensive experience in the design, implementation, conduct and analysis of pregnancy and child health related research studies. Since 2008 she has worked at the University of Sydney in various roles including data manager and clinical trial coordinator for the PPROMT (Preterm Pre-labour Rupture Of the Membranes close to Term) trial, a large multi-center, international randomised controlled trial. Her role as overall coordinator and management of the trial included recruitment, randomisation, procedural coordination and follow-up, maintaining the database and auditing recruit centers, working collaboratively with other team members and maintaining relationships with national and international sites. During this time, she also worked at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney as a Research Officer for the Sydney Stillbirth Study, a multicenter prospective case-control study examining risk factors for late pregnancy stillbirth. She was responsible for the coordination and expansion of the study and development of educational workshops surrounding stillbirth, maintenance of the database and conducting the study interviews, investigations, and sub-studies. Results of the study led to the development of the iSAIL (Integrated Support After Infant Loss) Clinic. As the clinic manager from 2015-17, Dr Bond was responsible for the management, development and implementation of perinatal loss services in the SLHD, providing a comprehensive service to bereaved families after infant loss, as well as grief support and education for staff working in Maternity and Neonatal departments. She was also involved in perinatal mortality audit processes.
