Member of the subcommittee on Dairy Bacteriophages in the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV) 2006-2017. From September 2014-2017 Chair of the subcommittee on Lactic Acid Bacteria Bacteriophages (ICTV). From October 2014-2017 Member of Bacterial and Archeal Viruses Subcommittee of ICTV. Resigned from ICTV in 2017. Member of evaluation committees of Ph.D. thesis’s in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Canada and Ireland.
