Lisa Rita Magnaghi

University of Pavia

Lisa Rita Magnaghi graduated in Chemistry at Pavia University in 2018 with an experimental thesis entitled “Colorimetric sensors array for monitoring meat spoilage”; in the same year, she won a grant for PhD School in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Industrial Innovation at the University of Pavia. Lisa Rita Magnaghi got her PhD in the group of Prof. R. Biesuz at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Pavia and with a project entitled “Sensors designed for analytical determinations and practical applications”. After PhD, Lisa spent 2 years as Post-Doc Researcher in the group of Prof. R. Biesuz at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Pavia, where she is currently Tenure Track Researcher (RTT) in Analytical Chemistry. Her research is mainly focused in the field of sensors development for food, environmental and medical application; a particular attention has been devoted to the development and optimization of smart labels for food freshness monitoring for in-field and large-scale application. Additionally Lisa Rita Magnaghi has been involved in several research projects, ranging from material science to bioinorganic chemistry and waste upcycling, with the crucial role of applying advanced chemometric tools in experiments planning, optimization and multivariate data analysis. Lisa Rita Magnaghi is one of the founder members of the innovative SME SAFER SmartLabels s.r.l., founded on July 15th, 2020 together with Prof. Raffaela Biesuz and Prof. Paolo Quadrelli. The scientific activity of Lisa Rita Magnaghi is documented so far by around 50 papers published on international journals, 5 patents deposited, national and international prizes and participation to national and international meetings.
