M. L. Martins

Dairy Technologist and Bachelor of Dairy Science and Technology, Master and Doctor in Agricultural Microbiology by Federal University of Viçosa. I worked in the Quality Assurance Department of the Central Dairy Cooperative of the São Paulo State, Brazil. I was a CNPq sandwich doctoral fellow, developing the thesis project related to the quorum sensing mechanism, at the Microbiology Laboratory of the University of Zurich (Switzerland). I was also a CNPq postdoctoral fellow. I am currently a professor at the Federal Institute of Southeast Minas Gerais, on the Rio Pomba campus, Brazil, working in the areas of dairy science and technology, food microbiology and development of dairy and non-dairy probiotic products. I am also currently coordinator of the Professional Master in Food Science and Technology at the Federal Institute.
