Yu-Hsiang Yu is a professor of Biotechnology and Animal Science at the National Ilan University, where he is conducting the monogastric physiology, gut microbiota research, and feed additive evaluation. Yu-Hsiang Yu is studying the animal health-promoting feed additives to cope with the disease outbreaks after the ban on using antibiotics for animal growth promotion. The novel feed additives are expected to reduce or replace antibiotic growth promoters, thereby slowing down the spread of drug-resistant bacteria and drug residues.
