Meta-analysis revealed a reduction in MS development in coffee consumers both before (OR: 0.66; 95 % CI: 0.49-0.90; p-value: 0.008; I2: 89.65 %; p-value for heterogeneity<0.001) and after adjustment for possible confounders (adjusted OR: 0.42; 95 % CI: 0.20-0.90; p-value: 0.025; I2: 89.65 l; p-value for heterogeneity<0.001).
