Acne

Acne, or acne vulgaris, is a chronic inflammatory skin condition characterized by comedones (blackheads and whiteheads), pimples, and oily skin caused by clogged hair follicles from excess sebum and dead skin cells. It primarily affects areas with many oil glands, such as the face, chest, and back, and can lead to scarring, anxiety, reduced self-esteem, and, in severe cases, depression.
