Dr. Jayesh J. Ahire is a Probiotic-Product Development & Tech Transfer Specialist at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Hyderabad, India. He received Ph.D. Microbiology (2013) in the field of probiotics and its biogenic metabolites from North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, India. Later, from March 2013 to April 2018, Dr. Ahire worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Microbiology, Stellenbosch University, Stellenbosch, South Africa and explored research on Nanotechnology and Microbiology. In June 2018, He joined as Research Scientist in the Center for Research and Development, Unique Biotech Limited, Hyderabad, India for probiotic research. Later in 2022, he joined as Senior Scientist- Probiotics Laboratory, Advanced Enzyme and Technologies, Limited, Thane. He has around 14+ years of research experience in field of Probiotics and Bio-nanotechnology. He published several research articles in peer-reviewed journals and serving as a reviewer for peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Ahire’s professional interests are in the area of probiotics (human, animals and fish) and antimicrobial proteins, nanofiber mediated delivery of drugs and or antimicrobial compounds to prevent biofilm and or infections of drug resistant bacterial strains. Besides this, pre-clinical and clinical trials of probiotics.
