Anxiety

Anxiety is an emotional condition characterized by excessive tension, worry, and an unpleasant state of inner turmoil, often focusing on anticipated future events. Unlike fear, which is a response to a present threat, anxiety is persistent and may include behaviors such as pacing, somatic complaints, and rumination, manifesting in various forms like generalized anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, and panic disorder.
