Cirrhosis

Cirrhosis, also known as liver cirrhosis or end-stage liver disease, is a severe liver condition characterized by the gradual replacement of healthy liver tissue with scar tissue due to chronic liver damage, leading to impaired liver function and a range of symptoms that can progress to serious complications. Early signs include tiredness, loss of appetite, and abdominal discomfort, while advanced stages may involve jaundice, fluid build-up, and life-threatening conditions such as hepatic encephalopathy and liver cancer.
