Hypothyroidism

Hypothyroidism is a disorder of the endocrine system where the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormones, leading to symptoms such as fatigue, weight gain, depression, poor cold tolerance, muscle aches, slow heart rate, constipation, and potentially goitre. Untreated hypothyroidism during pregnancy can result in developmental delays and congenital iodine deficiency syndrome in the baby.
