Alzheimer's disease

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder that primarily impairs cognitive functions, particularly memory, and is the leading cause of dementia, accounting for 60-70% of cases. It begins slowly and progressively worsens, leading to severe cognitive decline, loss of bodily functions, and ultimately death, with an average life expectancy of three to twelve years after diagnosis.
