Constipation

Constipation is a bowel dysfunction characterized by infrequent or difficult-to-pass bowel movements, resulting in hard, dry stool and symptoms such as abdominal pain, bloating, and a sensation of incomplete evacuation. Complications can include hemorrhoids, anal fissures, or fecal impaction, with normal bowel movement frequencies ranging from three times per day to three times per week in adults.
